Rates & Insurance

Costs for therapy can be confusing, especially for people trying to use their insurance. We're happy to help you figure out your specific cost, and what your insurance company covers for in-network or out-of-network counseling. What you pay will depend on the type of counseling and any insurance you may be using. Contact a therapist or our business manager for a full breakdown of rates or to have us check your insurance benefits.

Insurance

We are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and also work out-of-network with all other major providers including Aetna, Cigna, Magellan, and United Health Care.

Cash-Pay Rates

Individual Sessions: $150
First/intake Session: $165
Family and Couples Sessions: $165

Individual counseling sessions are $150 for 55-minute sessions. Our counseling intern sees clients at reduced, sliding scale rates. If you have a specific financial need, please feel free to inquire about reduced/sliding scale rates (available on a very limited basis).

Clients have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much their medical and mental health care will cost. Learn more here: https://meadowspringcounseling.com/gfe-notice/

Clients who cancel with less than 24 hours notice may be charged a late cancellation fee of $75. Exceptions will be made for sudden illness.

Out-of-Network Coverage

If we are out-of-network with your insurance provider, keep in mind that if you have a large in-network deductible, out-of-network (OON) rates may be as affordable as paying in-network until your deductible is reached.

Otherwise Out-of-Network rates typically cover a smaller percentage of the session than In-Network. Some clients have excellent Out-of-Network coverage while others have none and choose to pay out of pocket.

If you would like to check your out-of-network coverage for mental health, contact your insurance provider and ask them the questions below:

  • Do I have out-of-network coverage for mental health services?
  • If so, do I have a deductible and has it been met?
  • What is my reimbursement rate for 55 minute individual therapy sessions?
  • Do I need preauthorization from my doctor/PCP?
  • How do I submit receipts or super bills for reimbursement?
