Find tools to lessen symptoms, better manage your feelings, and start on a path towards freedom from Anxiety and Depression.
We all get stressed out and nervous sometimes, but when it starts to interfere with your everyday life or your happiness, it becomes anxiety. Anxiety has many symptoms and ways that it can show up in your life. You might have physical symptoms like your heart racing, shortness of breath, headaches, stomach problems, sweating, or shaking. You might have other symptoms like worrying all the time, obsessive thoughts that bother you, and trouble sleeping.
Many people will experience depression at some point in their lives. Symptoms might include sadness, fatigue, trouble concentrating, loss of interest in things you used to enjoy, trouble sleeping, lack of appetite, or thoughts of self harm or suicide.
The good news is that anxiety and depression are treatable, and there is hope. Counseling can provide a safe space to begin to work through your feelings of depression and/or anxiety. We use techniques such as mindfulness, dialectical behavioral therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy to help you increase your ability to manage your symptoms. We can also help you to explore if there are deeper causes contributing to your feelings of anxiety and depression, and help you on a journey towards healing.
